Writing Submissions

The Grinnell Review only accepts submissions from current Grinnell Students (this includes students studying abroad.)

Submissions to the Fall 2017 issue of the Grinnell Review are NOW due Friday, November 3rd at 11:59PM

Each student can submit up to five written works and/or five visual art pieces. Please also keep in mind that writing submissions that are published in the fall semester will NOT be disqualified from the English Department's creative writing contests.

All submissions will remain anonymous during committee selections.

We ask that every submission follow certain formatting guidelines to the best of your abilities and without compromising your work so that we can easily render the submissions anonymous and assemble them for selection.

Guidelines:

  • Please make sure that the filename is the title of your submission, and that you include your first and last name in the [name field] and your Grinnell email address in the [email field].
  • Prose: 12-point Times New Roman font, 1" margins, page numbers in lower right footer, and double-spaced. Please put the title in bold, left-aligned with a single return before the text. We prefer .doc or .docx files.
